Everyone goes to the Dive Show, even me! I'll be there on Sunday this year.

What's happening over the weekend? Perhaps you know more than me, but here are a few highlights and I've also posted a video in the link below in case it's easier for you!

Seminar highlights include:
Mark Powell - Deco expert on how not to get bent
Jack Ingle - Technical guru on how to configure your dive gear for convenience & safety
British Divers Marine Life Rescue - 20yrs of rescuing marine wildlife
Hammerhead Sharks - diving with them in Cocos and Galapagos
Wreck Diving - how to become a better diver the TDI way

Plenty of interesting talks to attend too...

Paul Rose - From Chesil Beach and back
David Mearns - Wreck Hunter Extraordinary
Mark Addison - High Definition Sharks
Teresa Tulus - Deeper under Truk
Paul Watson - Eco Pirate
And plenty more!

If that's not enough, there are plenty of exhibitors from all over the world showcasing their wares from AP Valves to the Wreckdetector you can find it all at the Dive Show at the NEC on the weekend of October 24/25 2009.

Of course, there's also the opportunity for your friends to participate in a try dive if they're new to the sport and for you to WIN a £5k holiday to the Philippines!

Awesome, what are you waiting for?! Buy your tickets and get yourselves to Birmingham!

See you there no doubt! :o)

Wednesday - it all happens on Wednesday

I live in London and was glad the District Line had resumed its normal service this morning after the hecticness of the journey home last night!

Google have decided to celebrate the 57th anniversary of the bar code today by bar-coding their logo. Unfortunately I'm not that good at IT stuff just yet!

Last night I dreamt that I saw my first whale shark....it was a great dream! However, the best way to put this into reality this month is to visit the Seychelles, where incidently it's also turtle season. Here, have a read of the MCSS blog http://seychelles-turtles.blogspot.com/2009/10/another-turtle-season-is-upon-us.html

I refuse to pay to watch England play football on the internet. My laptop is mute and slow so it ain't much use to me! Lucky we've qualified...

Finally (and this is a bit more diving orientated!) it's the Dive Show this month up in Birmingham, the big one, the one you've all been waiting for! Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October 0930 - 1700.

It's a great day out and some real bargains to be had when buying equipment, some fantastic diving stories to listen to and plenty of like minded people to share a beer with. PLEASE do NOT be UNDER the ILLUSION that you should wait until the Dive Show to book your next holiday though...there are so many special offers around at the moment. Best to book your seats before the masses which will get you a better price...of course, you still have to pay your tax (even I do!)...

That's all for now. Am off to make sure all our fantastic destinations are up on our new look website.

We have two tickets to the Dive Show up for grabs. All you have to do is have a look through our website and send us an enquiry form. Please include Dive Show in the free text box and something that will make me smile! (a fiver normally works!)
